A hard working professional active both in and out of the office, management consultant Lara Witter carries the confidence backed by years of experience and a passion for the community. Ms. Witter first exhibited her skills in leadership while at Brown University, where she aided the women’s crew rowing team to an Ivy League Championship and earned the distinction of Most Inspirational Rower in 1990. Lara Witter’s studies in International Relations at Brown allowed her to spend her junior year abroad at one of France’s most elite universities, Sciences Po (Institut d’Études Politiques de Paris). Even at the Richard Ivey School of Business at The University of Western Ontario, Ms. Witter maintained an active role while studying for her Master of Business Administration by participating in an international leadership project.

When Lara Witter graduated with her MBA in 1998, she joined one the world’s foremost consulting firms, Bain & Company and served in management consulting. An ambitious leader, Ms. Witter worked on creating the consumer segmentation strategy for a major Canadian retailer, which resulted in an additional $100 million profit over an operating profit of $100 million. In addition, Lara Witter guided a tech company with over $40 billion in annual sales in remodeling its business process and organization.

After leaving Bain & Company in 2001, Lara Witter shifted her focus to nonprofit organizations and community work. Recently, Ms. Witter became a Trustee at the Katherine Delmar Burke School in San Francisco after years of working as a leader among the parents for the school. Also, under Lara Witter’s direction, a playground in the Richmond neighborhood was rehabilitated by the City of San Francisco. When not working, she enjoys playing tennis, skiing, hiking, and swimming in open waters.
